When a customer decides to work with ICL, they automatically receive access to one of the largest and most advanced logistics and transport infrastructures in the region. Not to mention they also have the benefit of access to all the advanced tools and reports provided by ICL/NETLOG’s SAP ran Information’s systems.

Information Technologies
In the Logistics and transport sector, the use of information systems plays a vital role. To manage the daily transport traffic of 1200+ vehicles, with over 9,000 invoices and orders, from 36 warehouses with FIFO standards, vehicle/shipment tracking, different loading routes and combinations not to mention the right invoicing, HRM and system integration, requires a serious IT infrastructure.

Up until 2008, ICL and the group companies have been running on several different types of IT infrastructure. However, in 2008, all of the IT systems previously used were combined, under the same roof, using the world-renowned SAP system. ICL has invested over 5 million euro on its IT infrastructure in 2008 alone.

ICL is following the technological developments necessary to thrive in its sector and will continue to do so in order to provide a better service for its customers.

Fleet / Shipment Visibility
ICL owns a great deal of transport vehicles. ICL is also a freight forwarder, which owns its own fleet. Having such a force behind them, ICL can easily assure its customers guaranteed service availability, no matter how the transport markets are performing.

ICL keeps its fleet age an average of three years for Western and Northern Europe and four years for Eastern Europe. ICL is a company that also owns three main technical maintenance sites in Turkey for regular vehicle checks and driver training. There are a total of 64 technicians working at the ICL Vehicle Maintenance sites. At each of these sites, ICL can simultaneously provide full service on nine vehicles.

All ICL vehicles are equipped with tracking devices to ensure quality service. Every single ICL vehicle is under 24/7 surveillance via the ICL satellite system. There is a team dedicated for truck planning and follow up on service times. On ICL owned fleets, ICL can provide its customers with information pertaining to routing and the shipment transit time log is dated up to three years. Customers using ICL services can automatically use this service and track their shipments on line.

Warehouses

ICL and group companies currently operate 36 warehouses in Turkey and one in Romania. ICL can also provide its customers warehousing solutions in over 25 countries. ICL has an average of 230,000 palettes stored daily in its own warehouses.

In 2009 ICL will launch another 5 sites with a total indoor space of 40,000 sqm's and be able to accommodate another 80,000 palettes.
