ICL is a company committed to making a difference for its employees, customers, the environment and the communities it serves. Being one of the leading transport and logistics companies of Turkey brings us many responsibilities.

As ICL we are fully aware of each and every one of these responsibilities and at the same time fully commited to make a difference where we can. We believe, as a company we should work together with our employees, vendors and customers on social, environmental, ethical issues and be more sensitive to set an example to our fellow competitors.

Social

ICL is part of the service industry. Therefore, the quality and care that ICL provides to its customers very much depends on the effort made by its employees. The quality of service is measured by their performance and the level of customer satisfaction achieved.

ICL fully believes that by increasing the level of employee satisfaction, it will help to boost the quality and level of service given. This is why ICL relies heavily on employee training seminars that encourage its employees to develop themselves while increasing their capabilities. At the same time, the ICL HRM team also works with employees on an individual basis in personal career planning sessions that result in longer-term satisfaction and company loyalty.

In adopting an ‘American Management Style’, ICL encourages its employees to take responsibility and make management decisions on their own, as well as work in teams and make cohesive decisions. ICL management believes that such a system creates ‘company spirit’ and unity among its employees.


Environmental

ICL owns over 1,500 vehicles and manages another 5,000. We are very sensitive to the impact these numbers have on the environment.

As a leading fleet management company, we feel that it is our responsibility to use our strength, talent, resources and innovative technology to find veritable measures that will work to decrease the level of pollution in the environment. ICL is currently investigating the usability of bio-diesel gas to cut down the emission levels that its vehicles put out.

Today, ICL is one of the few companies willing to invest in the continuous renewal of its fleet and recently purchased a new generation of Euro Norm (Green Engine) trucks. The company’s policy is to keep its fleet an average of three years. Although this is a huge financial burden to bear, ICL feels that leaving a cleaner future for the next generation is more important than our own short-term profits.
