INTERCOMBI (ICL) , became the first International Transport & Logistics company in the EEMEA Region to use all the modules of SAP System. |
On July 1st. 2009, ICL Transport and Logistics A.S., after a 2 year development program with one of the most prestigious SAP Consulting firms in the EEMEA region, have announced that its gone live on using SAP’s ERP (Enterprise resource planning) and CRM (Customer Relations Management) systems. ICL, a part of NETLOG Logistics Group of Turkey, was the last company of the group to implement the SAP for its ERP and CRM systems.
ICL, 2 years ago decided to implement SAP’s ERP and CRM for managing its overall operations. The project teams, formed from the transport, logistics, human resources, finance and 4PL industry experts, have worked together to design a system that will not only work flawless throughout the organization but will also answer the today and the future needs of the customers. By going live on SAP, ICL became the first International Transport & Logistics company in the EEMEA Region to use all the modules of SAP System.
ICL/SAP Project implementation included all the SD (Sales and distribution), FI (Finance), MM (Material Management), PM (Plant Maintenance), FI-CO (Finance & Controlling), HR (Human Resources) and CRM ( Customer Relations Management) modules. To provide a security measure to its customers, ICL also operates 3 disaster Back-up/Recovery sites in Turkey with 400 km’s of distance from each other. Soon after the transformation is fully made, ICL will start to interface its SAP system with its global customers using SAP.
