History
ICL group strated its business life in 1994 with its first group company, Nedlloyd Road Cargo Istanbul. Nedlloyd Road Cargo Istanbul was a joint venture company with Royal Nedlloyd NV. of Netherlands. At the time, the company was the leading textile transport service provider of Turkey. After the purchase of Nedlloyd Road Cargo and its subsidaries by Deutsche Post, the former management of Nedlloyd Istanbul, today ICL, decided to do a management buy out and continue Nedlloyd Road Cargo Istanbul as a seperate entity in Turkey.
Since than the company has been growing under its solid policies. Over the time it has bought and formed other freight and fleet managment companies to support its services. In 2003, the management decision came to a change in the corporate image and go with the brand name of ICL(INTERCOMBI) Logistics. The name ICL, stands for, International Combined Transport and Logistics Company.
In 2004, ICL combined forces with one of Turkey’s largest Holdings, ULKER Holding. From this cooperation a new logistics company, NETLOG, has been formed.
Today ICL group, with its 7 companies, 1.950 employees, 1.500 (ICL/NETLOG)/2000(VIP Leasing) owned fleet and 300.000 sqm (3.000.000 sqf ) of indoor warehousing space in 33 warehouses, is one of the largest international transport and logistics company in its region.
